News for Nutcracker Collectors

If you collect nutcrackers such as the ones you see throughout the Nutcracker Museum (Other than the what we call the "wooden toy soldier style" you see at Christmas time) you will be interested in knowing about the Nutcracker Collector's Club under the direction of Susan Otto of Chesterland Ohio.

The group includes collectors from every part of the US and several foreign countries.

A modest yearly fee of $25 brings 4 newsletters each year full of information about carved figural nutcrackrs in various woods and metals and from various countries. An annual convention hosted by a prominent collector somewhere in the United States gives you a chance to view their collection, learn more about your own collection, and even buy or sell pieces. To learn more, contact Arlene Wagner, the Nutcracker Lady or the Nutcracker Lady #2, Michelle.

You can also contact Susan Otto directly at nutsue@roadrunner.com

Our Mission Statement

"To foster and encourage the interest of the general public of the importance of nuts in the diets of humans throughout history and in the evolution of the nutcracker. No other tool or collectible has shown such a wide diversity of material and design as the implements used to crack the hard shell of a nut".
